We bought this monitor couple weeks ago and so far we are very happy with it. When we first set it up it interfered with our house phone and it was very static, but then we just changed the channel on the monitor and now it’s quiet and no interference. It’s nice to watch my baby while she sleeps and nice to hear her through the monitor if i’m in the kitchen. The little TV could be battery operated as well,if you have to take it with you somewhere (i take it downstairs to the laundry room,or it’s nice to have by when i’m gardening while my daughter is napping). I highly recommend it to everyone!
One thing though,it doesn’t “check” baby’s breathing, like some other monitors do.

I just purchased this today and am going to return it tommorrow. I don’t mind the Black and White and I wasn’t too concerned with the CRT instead of the flat screen. The pic is pretty clear.. but there is a ton of static with the sound. The little lights in the front that should alert you (by going from green to red) to sound are always in the full red, even in a quite room, because of all the static. I suppose you get what you pay for. I am going to have to go with a more expensive model.

After reading reviews of seemingly every video monitor system on the market, it became apparent that they all have their fans and their detractors. I was afraid to spend too much money on something that might not work well, but I still wanted a “quality” device, so I opted for this one. I have to say I have been very pleasantly surprised. The picture is clear, and the sound doesn’t bother me at all — maybe because I live in the city and am used to noise, but to me it’s just a gentle white noise. Also, you can turn the sound off and just keep the picture (or vice versa) if you want. When my baby cries, the sound is crisp and clear. Basically, this monitor works exactly as advertised, nothing fancy, just an easy way to keep an eye on your baby at all times. I live in an apartment building and was worried about static and interference, but so far, none (I’ve been using it for about three weeks). Highly recommended.
